Tackle Box II

Johnson Island Trip  September 7, 2024

We will launch from the Shelby Boat Ramp by 10:00 AM. The ramp is located in Sandusky at, 101 Shelby St, Sandusky, OH 44870

We will travel about an hour and a half to The Tackle Box 2 restaurant in Fremont OH.

After a fun social lunch, we will begin our return.

the plan is to cruise out to Johnson Island and take a boat tour through the Quarry Marina which is very scenic!

Since Johnson island is still shielded from the main body of Lake Erie the water conditions should be similar to what we are having on Sandusky Bay. Some boats might stay overnight in Battery Park for an additional day up at Lake Erie.

LAKE CUMBERLAND

Date Sept 11 to 18, anyone can come for any part of these days, choice is theirs.

All Botel's are cancelled, no longer in business, very surprising as well.

You may remember I announced in our January meeting, they were selling all their Botels.

Our group has gotten a VRBO house & trailer 1 mile from the Beaver Creek boat launch.

Others will be staying in their boats, under roof at Rowena Marina.  Cost is $40.00 / night / slips, including electric. Phone 606-296-7488.

Monticello, closest town to the area we boat, has several Hotels to choose from. I'd be happy help any newcomers with this.  You may remember, a couple of weeks ago, I gave you my cell 614-620-9696, and said they can text me if they want help.

Or newbies can choose a VRBO if they like, again their individual choices.

I would love to show newbies beautiful Lake Cumberland.

We would love to see new faces on our annual Lake Cumberland trip, however, as you're aware of, no one new has joined us in years.
