About The Event
Launch at Gallipolis Friday am, travel the Kanawha River to Charleston, WV. The trip is approximately 60 miles and goes through one lock, or about a 3-5 hour trip. Arriving at Charleston, dock locally and go for a group dinner at a local restaurant. Saturday, feel free to explore the city or boat up the river through the remaining two locks, finding a good place to swim. Saturday evening, meet up with the group; again, for dinner at a Charleston restaurant, then start the trip back to Gallipolis on Sunday.
